This is for you!
A number of years ago, as I sat in a little cottage in Saginaw, Michigan, studying the Word, praying, waiting on God, an unsettling began to take place. The unsettling started while reading a great number of books on any number of the religious topics of the day...prophecy...deliverance...prayer...the Holy Spirit...miracles...etc. My spiritual appetite was almost insatiable for the things of God...to learn...to know.
One night, when Paul came home from work and found me crying for the umpteenth time, we had a long talk and he finally said, "Pat, you must choose to trust that you hear from God!" For as I read, I would see things that had been twisted, things taken out of context to support a theory, thousands of words being written to excite and titillate, yet the Word and Truth being compromised.
I cannot remember how this came about...I was on the internet clicking from one sight to another...I know now that it was the Holy Spirit leading me...for I 'stumbled' upon a website that, as I read, I was filled with such encouragement! For this man was speaking what was in my heart!! It was confirmation after confirmation to not only what God was showing me in His Word, but what also burned in my heart...
I am not going to go into any further explanations...I have actually been asked and told, "Who are you?" ;o)
But I am going to say this...since the time of finding that website, it has been my heart's desire to have a website where one day, a person would 'stumble' upon it...read what is written here...and be encouraged and confirmed in their heart to continue to walk forward in the Truth that God is speaking to their hearts...as they go against the flow of the mysticism that prevails today.
I have literally waited for years for God to allow this...His perfect timing...so know this, whoever you are...know in your heart that this website is to encourage you, as I was encouraged. I cannot speak and write as eloquently as the man of who's website I speak, but God's Word will not return void...be it spoken in eloquence or simplicity...
And He said to me, "Son of man, stand on your feet, and I will speak to you."
Then the Spirit entered me when He spoke to me, and set me on my feet; and I heard Him who spoke to me.
And He said to me: "Son of man, I am sending you to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that has rebelled against Me; they and their fathers have transgressed against Me to this very day.
For they are impudent and stubborn children. I am sending you to them, and you say to them, 'Thus says the Lord God.'
As for them, whether they hear or whether they refuse - for they are a rebellious house - yet they will know that a prophet has been among them.
And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them nor be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with you and you dwell among scorpions; do not be afraid of their words or dismayed by their looks, though they are a rebellious house.
You shall speak My words to them, whether they hear or whether they refuse, for they are rebellious.
But you, son of man, hear what I say to you. Do not be rebellious like that rebellious house; open your mouth and eat what I give you...Ezekiel 2.
